This is an accelerated, practical immersion course, which offers a unique pathway from training to employment in the outdoor industry. It offers an unparalleled combination of training, qualifications and mentored transition from apprentice to instructor, with quality outdoor industry experience.

The course takes place across two seasons. During your first season your main focus will be on gaining all of the technical skills required to be a confident instructor, putting it into practice with the senior instructors guidance. Your second season will be about you becoming a fully-fledge instructor.

If you are a goal orientated, hard working and driven individual who is eager to kick-start their career in the outdoor industry this is the course for you.

Requirements:

• Be aged 18+ on entry 
• Have a friendly, enthusiastic personality and a can-do attitude 
• Enjoy working with people of all ages 
• Be happy to work outside in all weathers  
• Be prepared to work weekends and evenings and have the resilience

• This apprenticeship programme will give you outdoor foundation qualifications including, but not limited to: Paddle Sports Instructor Qualification (i.e. Canoeing, Kayaking, StandUp Paddleboarding), Open & Pool Lifeguard Qualification, Foundation Safety & Rescue Training, Outdoor First Aid Training, Child Wellbeing & Protection Safeguarding
